Adjusted return on average assets rose to 1.3% from 1.01%, and adjusted return on average tangible common equity increased to 16.25% from 13.5% year-over-year.
The integration of The First Bancshares, Inc. and a factoring business expanded operations and contributed to revenue and asset growth.

Noninterest income for Q2 2026 was $51.2 million, up $0.9 million sequentially and 5.9% year-over-year; noninterest expense rose $6.2 million, mainly due to higher compensation accruals, health insurance claims, and merit increases.
Efficiency ratio improved to 57.9% for Q2 2026 from 67.6% in Q2 2025; adjusted efficiency ratio was 54.92%.
Book value per share was $42.35; tangible book value per share was $25.34, both increasing sequentially.
