Cynata Therapeutics (CYP) Study update summary

Clinical program overview

• Four active clinical programs are underway, including phase II for graft-versus-host disease, phase III for osteoarthritis, and a new kidney transplant study, with completed trials in two indications showing strong safety and efficacy results.

• The kidney transplant trial aims to reduce or eliminate the need for immunosuppressant drugs.

• MSCs produced via the Cymerus platform offer scalable, consistent, off-the-shelf cell therapy, enabling large-scale production from a single donor.

Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) trial results

• The DFU trial was a randomized, controlled study in approximately 30 adults, evaluating CYP-006TK MSC dressings versus standard care, with all visits completed by September 2024 and final results released in December 2024.

• CYP-006TK was safe and well-tolerated, with no serious adverse reactions or withdrawals due to adverse events.

• At 24 weeks, the CYP-006TK group achieved a mean wound area reduction of 261 mm² (83.6%), while standard care showed a 62 mm² reduction (47.8%).

• Larger wounds (>200 mm²) treated with CYP-006TK had an 84.2% reduction at 24 weeks, versus 32.2% in standard care, with especially strong results in higher-risk ulcers.

Financial update and capital raising

• Institutional placement raised AUD 8 million, with an additional AUD 100,000 from directors, strengthening the cash position to fund operations well into the next calendar year and beyond.

• The placement was chosen over a share purchase plan due to speed, certainty, and stronger institutional support, as previous SPPs had low participation.
