Executive summary
H1 FY26 revenue reached ¥2,732.5 bn (+¥88.9 bn YoY), and operating profit was ¥224.3 bn (+¥47.6 bn YoY), both record highs for the first half, driven by strong Infrastructure sales, price improvements, and a one-time gain from a subsidiary share transfer.
Net profit attributable to stockholders rose to ¥189.4 bn, up 60% YoY.
Profitability improved despite a stronger yen, supported by higher sales and cost reductions.
Interim dividend of ¥25 per share declared (+¥5 YoY), with a year-end dividend forecast of ¥30 per share.
Financial highlights
H1 FY26 operating profit margin rose to 8.2% (+1.5pt YoY); net profit margin increased to 7.4% (from 5.0% YoY).
H1 FY26 profit before income taxes was ¥253.9 bn (+¥77.2 bn YoY); comprehensive income surged to ¥256.9 bn from ¥120.1 bn YoY.
Free cash flow nearly doubled to ¥297.9 bn, supported by higher operating cash flow and proceeds from asset sales.
Cash and cash equivalents at period end: ¥862.8 bn (+¥108.3 bn YoY).
Gross margin improved as cost of sales ratio decreased from 69.3% to 68.3% YoY.
Outlook and guidance
FY26 revenue forecast raised to ¥5,670.0 bn (+¥270.0 bn from previous), with operating profit guidance unchanged at ¥430.0 bn.
Net profit attributable to stockholders forecast at ¥370.0 bn (+¥30.0 bn from previous).
Revenue outlook reflects weaker yen and continued strength in Infrastructure sales.
