Second quarter net sales rose 5.6% year-over-year to $695.5 million, with adjusted EPS of $0.47 and GAAP EPS of $1.71, both exceeding expectations, driven by Brand Portfolio growth and the Stuart Weitzman acquisition, while Famous Footwear sales declined.
Gross margin expanded 1,140 basis points to 54.8% due to $55.6M–$57.4M in tariff refunds; adjusted gross margin rose 340 basis points to 46.8%.
Operating earnings increased to $77.6M from $9.3M, and diluted EPS rose to $1.71 from $0.20 year-over-year; adjusted operating earnings were $22M (3.2% margin).

Inventory at quarter-end was $754.2M, up $61M; excluding Stuart Weitzman, inventory was down 1.2%.
Direct-to-consumer sales accounted for 71% of total net sales.
